Newby with a question

The tach needle does not move.
The batteries and glow plugs? unknown.
I have only had the truck since Sept.
I have read just about all of the posts on th CPS and that was my first thought.
I had one on order about three weeks ago but had some one order a new computer on our credit card and I couldn't complete the transaction.

IMO, the dead tach needle is a giveaway for a on-the-fritz CPS

Hope the current CPS last until the 20th of Dec. when I should receive the new one.
Why would it work without the edge moniter?

That's just a coincidence, I was draining my fuel bowl and getting it to restart I thought. Turns out I was just wasting fuel. If mine sat for a bit it would crank and run for about 30 seconds. That's just mine though, they all act different it seems.

While my first hipshot reaction is CPS, I still wonder if maybe a connection on your Edge came loose. i would try plugging it all back in, making sure connections are tight, and see if the problem repeats. If it does, then most likely your Edge is bad. However, before you replace the Edge, change the CPS and see if that fixes the problem. If it does not, then worst case scenario, you have an extra good CPS, which you ought to have anyway.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to try that when my CPS
comes next week. I'm not taking any long trips this week maybe it will work until then. Thanks to all!
