They flow a lot better than stock because they don't seal to the box worth a darn. So, more air gets in, along with dirt and bugs and squirrels and everyting else. Don't even bother with those drop-in POS filters. Sorry, I had a bad, and very scary experience with one of them.Lord Tauk said:What about a factory box drop in K&N? How do they perform?
For the money, go do a DIY. Better flow, best filtration, and the replacement cost of the element is on par with your K&N, then you don't need to worry about the decreased filtration that cotton gauze filters provide the more you wash them. More wash=more dirt.
