sort of late
but feb 7th the trans gave up
long long delay from drive to reverse and vice versa
then long flare from 4 to 5
dealer reflashed tcu
that fixed the old problems but created 2 new ones
no upshift past 8 and when slowing down the transmission would drop to 3rd so hard the rear wheels locked up and skidded, repeatable
so they replaced the replaced the valve body
then the transmission still had issues
so after 2 weeks FORD approved new transmission and cooler
i got truck back on 7 march after 28 days in limbo
dealer was great
i had fctp vehicles the entire time and they came to my house to swap the loaner out as needed, about 7 day cycles
i have been driving it hard and like a rental for a week and it seems to be perfect now

Great to hear Robert. What a nightmare!
yes it was
BUT Canton Ford really stepped up to make the customer feel worthwhile.
many loaner vehicles and when the loaner needed swapping out, they cam to my house to swap it out vice me driving an hour
truck is running excellent now.
just crossed over 1100 miles

really only bad taste is with FORD mother ship in regards to getting the parts and authorizing parts, despite a special service message on these gear boxes with wrong bearings installed. My truck was a few days outside the window of concern...
tech said he saw lots of items that should not be in the fluid when you purge the cooler, items, not metal flakes, ITEMS. ( chunks, clutch material etc)
FORD imo knew it was most likely toast from day one before the valve body change, but chose to drag out the process getting a new one sent down.
