Welcome to the site Jon, nice to see another Fairbanksian on the site.

This pic was after driving up the dalton Hwy. I can now say I have been there and done that and got a t-shirt and a busted windshield. and i will never go back.

Oh come-on back, I drive the Dalton two-three times a week and only go through a few windshields per year:doh:

Thanks, Crumm, nice rig ya got there. I've got a 1996 F250 Ext Cab that's the same color. It's up for sale right now over at Affordable, just can't justify having four vehicles filling my driveway.

See ya around town!

I have six Fords in my driveway. I figure that you don't have to justify it as long as it has a Blue Oval on the grill :thumbs

05' F150
96' F350
95' Explorer
76' F250
75 'F250
42' GPW

How much for the 96' F250? It would be a nice addition to my collection.

Sorry about that :sorry I didn't mean too :roflmao

Jon, Barrett's list is great but steer clear of the Rancho stabilizer. Ranchos will not hold up in our cold climate, the seals blow and then the oil runs out on the ground. I paid high dollars for a set of 9000's with the in-cab remote system and they didn't hold up at all. I am currently having good luck with TrailMaster SSV's :sweet

It's over at Affordable on Cushman right now. I'm trying to get $8500 out of it since that's what I owe on it. Here's a quick breakdown of the truck:
First, the pic:

http://www.f150online.com/galleries/pictureview.cfm?pnum=168074&anum=7415

then the breakdown:

F250 Ext Cab Long Bed 4X4 XLT ~136,000 miles
460 gas, 4 speed Auto
Power everything except mirrors
Heavy duty Ladder Rack with removable cross bars
Diamond plated tool box and running boards
Comes with a set of studded winter tires
Rhino Liner
Tinted windows

If you're interested, talk to Jim over at Affordable, it's got $9195 on the windshield, but if ya offer $8500, sold. I know it's a bit much for a truck with that many miles on it, but dumb me wanted the truck with the ladder rack in the first place :(.

Nice collection of fords you got there, but what's the '42 GPW?

Will do about staying away from the Rancho steering stabilizer. I've actually contimplated upgrading the factory one. There's tons of steering wobble from driving over bridge expansion joints and frost heaves, it'd be nice to dampen that a little more than what Ford had in mind.

Yahaaa, uh, WOW... Not quite sure where to start, but I'm saving the list. I've already got the brown bread, it's actually wheat, though. :roflmao

Architect-Builder, huh? Cool, I've got a small construction company I started in May 2005. I designed and built my own home, too. What is it that you do?

I'm a licensed Architect (14 years) and have been a builder/carpenter for 20 years. Retired from my old employer's firm when I got tired of his promises so started my own Architecture / Design Build firm in January of 2005. Must have been a good year to start a business. Hope yours is going good. :sweet

Nice collection of fords you got there, but what's the '42 GPW?

Back in 1942 Willy's could not keep up building military Jeeps so Ford stepped up and built a few too. The GPW is just like a Willy's but better since it was built by FORD :D
