I just want to confirm some terminology from a snap on scanner to us laymen folk.

I have code P0236 Which is Turbo Boost Sensor.

This is the Map sensor that is over by the heater box on the pass side right?

I also have code P1211 Which is the Injection Control Pressure sensor. That one I think is on the front right side of the motor as your looking at the engine, correct?

I figure with 210K I will try and just replace them. Hoefully I can get a decent price on e-bay or something.

bost sensor and icp is she smokin? low on power or just get these codes?
is it chipped or tunered (new word)
those are a common code set by chips and tuners, cause they fool the engine pcm into thinking they are doing something different

I have baby swamps and a 6po chip.

I had a check engine light with no power. Turned off on on the fly and CEL was gone and power back.

Had the codes read and that was what I got. I have not had the same issue in over a week.

icp..... the HPOP couldnt keep up with demand

you were pumping som eair werent you,set an ses light for overboost??
ses for oeverboost set a DEFUEL condition till you got off it.
it should have reset without turning it off. but
i bet a quail thats what happended

you punched through boost to set the ses and the hpop couldnt keep up so she defueled.
running ok now ?
are you still stock turbo and intake air cleaner set up

the 94-97sdont defuel with high boost.but yes 1211 is the ICP,you were probably hammering it a little and the HPOP couldnt keep up.i set that code all the time.the map sensor is the black box thing above the heater box.it has a hose that runs to the intake plenum on the passengers side of the engine.check to make sure the hose didnt come off or is leaking.

Exactly the other way. I was exiting one interstate and getting on another. I was trying to accelrate normally and realized there was a problem when I had to have it to the floor at 35mph!!! that is when I notice the CEL.

What your saying makes sence, but i wasn't rodding at all.

That P1211 does sound like you are maybe having an issue with your ICP then.

The P0236 which is "Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance" sounds like you bumped the higher end of the MAP range, no big deal. I think the 0236 is a soft code which means it wont illuminate the CEL, in other words it may have been set in the PCM memory for quite some time now. The 1211 will set the light each time the error occurs and will go away when kill the ignition.

Ok the boost went out of range when ever I get into it. The ICp is that the one that screws into the drivers side head?
