Let me say this...I had a '03 6.0 and it was hell on wheels once the computer issues were corrected. Traded for a '06, I then heard reports that Ford had cut the power back on the 6.0 because of tranny issues. Well, I checked the Ford site and they reported 325 hp and 570 lb-ft of torque. Truck didn't feel right so I started checking things and low and behold the truck DIDN'T make the power claimed by Ford. Ford then let me know that it was my problem and not theirs :cussing: .....Just my story for you to think about. I think knowing what I know now, if I was buying a Ford I'd have it in the contract that I could have the truck dyno and if it came up short then the Dealer would buy it back....better yet, have it dyno before you buy, that way you would know for sure.

you keep saying this...what power did ford say it would make & how did
you determine you werent getting the same power...

ill be the 1st to call you a luker...4 post and not a single thing of
any REAL substance to say let alone any PROOF to back your claims...
go back to your dodge site and enjoy your egr/cat problems in the new
CHANGED mod yr....

im not saying its up or down...its numbers and in order and the way
EVERY mfg. publishes 'em (from the crank) is EXTREAMLY hard to prove
(if youre up or down) when youre measuring at the wheels (like
the general public would measure).

you cant fix something you cant PROVE is broken...and seat of the
pants or one time measurement isnt a good start...

this guys posted FOUR times...and at least 2 have been the same
"unqualified" complaints....im happy to help in problem diagnoses...but
theres nothing to work w/ here...

I have an '05 6.0 and love it. For '06 there is way more restrictions on the engine in order to meet smog requirements. Also, they've fixed the bugs in the 03 & 04's. 05's the way to go

i love my 05 6.0 great power awsome mpg, just some small probs that were fixed very quick, and yeah but ford was better then dodge and chevy in other catagorys, only out braked that 2wd dodge by 50 ft or so... thats pretty bad.. if im pulling a load, and somthing got infront of me i want to stop. Either way, they were all close if you look at overall.

hi guys, well first time ford owner when i purchased my truck. reasoning for buying a ford because international is an american company not like the izuzu duramax, and well dodge in general is a peice of crap, and i hated the salesmen when looking at trucks. but anyways i have an 6.0 and i love it, went through two sensors but ford was helpfull and so has this site, i have the 100,000 mile warrenty every one of my cars has had an extended plan.
anyways love the power none of my chevys ever had this power. love the handling both on and off road. couldnt be happier with my truck. great investment.
