Old Ford Truck Guy
Yesterday, an old friend informed me of this forum. I don't know his username, or I would have put him down as a reference. Anyway, I'm always looking for other people to share with ideas and knowledge about Ford trucks, especially Super Duties. I'm glad he sent me here! I'm sure I will learn a lot about my truck. It's a '00 F350, 7.3L, auto, super cab, LB, 4X4, SRW, Lariat. I've only owned it for a year and a half, but have put nearly 45K on it since then. I have a 2000Lb, 11.5' slide-in camper that my family and I have taken a couple trips in last summer, while pulling a small boat. I don't try to bury it, but it has been thoroughly cover in mud a couple times. I mean, two times through the car wash, just to get the clumps off!. I had the ball joints replaced as soon as I got it, the tranny done by a reputable shop almost a year ago, and then followed by a water pump. Knock-on-wood, it's been very good since then. I keep it clean, but I don't baby it. I like it so much that my family of five, when we all go somewhere together, don't go anywhere in the Buick any more. For the long trips, though, my 5'10" son wishes the back seat had head rests. Thanks for putting this site together.
