Hello - From WI, brother in law has a 2005 diesel F250 with some inside heat or shall I say no heat issues along with tranny not shifting out of low when cold.
Hopefully I can create a post and receive some help

Thanks

Scott

Poor inside heat

Crumm,
I received an e-mail that you had replied but I do not see your reply on the forum.

The inside heat output temperature will go to COLD after miles and miles of driving. She states the dummy gauge on the dash stays / shows that the temperature is where it should be / up to operating temperature.

Thanks
Scott

I will bet you have a vacuum leak. It usually leaks from the hubs to the frame. When the vacuum is not there, the heater is the first thing you notice. Check it out and you will find it. Crumm will have a good idea.

Yeah I asked if you had engine heat but then deleted it when I saw that you had another thread on the subject and figured we would leave this one for welcomes.

If the engine is not staying up to temp I would start by replacing the thermostat. It may also be a vacuum leak. No vacuum = improper heat distribution.

Thanks

Crumm - I agree, the discussion on poor inside heat needs to be with my thread in the 6.0L forum.

If you can, on the 6.0L forum, please let me know how to track down a vacuum leak

thanks
