Hey everyone,
new guy here. Right now I'm in a research mode. I have a 2007 Nissan Titan but I'm looking to get into diesels. Right now I have it narrowed down to the Chevy/GMC LMM diesel or Powerstroke. I was looking at the newer powerstrokes but came across a 2003 7.3 for 21k (I think I can get them lower). I always heard great things about the 7.3, but what kind of things should I be looking for or look at replacing if I get the 03??? Heres a link to it

You should get that for ALOT lower then 21K. Low miles but damm. 21K is alot. Do a kelly blue book on it. Then go DOWN from there.

Buy it!

Buy that truck, price is not that high for a low mileage T444E. You got a chance to get the last of a dying breed. That truck will work work work work........ untill it's paid you three times over. Oh and welcome to SDD.

wow, thanks for all of your help. the one thing I was looking at was HP. Without getting a new tranny, how much could it handle?? I know the torque is crazy, but I'm looking for more umph

The tranny isn't the big problem.

The 03 has powdered metal rods in it. You're looking at 400 HP MAX! And when i say max, you are going to be pushing the limits of windowing a block then.
A good tuner wont let you go over that much HP anyway. They know what will happen.
But then again, what are you going to do with this truck? Race it? This is not the fastest truck on the market nor was it meant to be.

You want a strong azz workhorse that properly taken care of will haul anything you want and last forever? This is your ride.
