Was hearing aloud roar from the driver's front hub. Jacked it up and checked for top to bottom slack with a gut shake. Sure enough it wiggled. Tried to take the hub off myself last night but culd not get to the 4 bolts that hold the unit on. I know you have to turn the hub all the way to the right to get to two of them and back to center to get to two others. Then the socket I had was too thick in the wall to get on the nut. I finally put everything back together and carried it to a indy tis morning. He had it ready when I went back by his shop at 11:00. $100 lbor and $204 plus tax for the part. He said it was abad bearing. The new unit did quiet the roar.

Does anyone know the size of the socket needed to get to the 4 bolts that hold thehub on. I want to get a thinwall socket so if I have to do the passenger side I will have that socket?

What size? My Regular deep well would not get to it due to the dust shield even when turning the hub left and right. A thin wall deep well would have barely gotten by the dust shield to get on the nut.
