I've been lurking around reading as much as I could.ya'll seem to really know your stuff I just finished the ccv & IAH mods . Got some questions about shimming FPR I'm have trouble finding the right fitting to connect to the regulator, any ideas? Also inthe the morning when I start up that wonderful rattling beast (which my neighbors hate) it wants surge rpm's will dip 200-300 unless I give fuel . Last one , when I drive any length time with my OD OFF it will all the sudden start flashing the OD light and drive sluggishly any info out there

Welcome to the site. I'm not sure on the thread size but it has been posted here and I'll search for it for you.

On the transmission: you need to pull to codes. When the OD light flashes there is a code.

thanx... whatabudro ...not to get off the thread,but where in wylie are you ? i lived there 1980-85 .. fond memories of lake lavon.. My superchips tuner isn't showing codes from the transmission . I'm trying find codereader around town now

Anyway what's the metric part of 7/16"-20 UNF-2A x 1/4" NPT..........

umm NPT means it aint metric. Maybe you should ask whoever told you it was metric. Those threads were taken from a post by CHPMustang and Tbar, thats who helped me with my shimming so I beleive them.

Well, I can't remember for certain who it was but he talked about retapping the fuel filter housing with an 1/8" pipe tap to get rid of the metric threads.

Also, Bob Riley sells a fitting to convert the fuel filter housing to a standard 1/8" Pipe thread. Here's the link to what Bob sells:
