New guy

Hey everyone-Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm new to the Ford and Diesel world, coming from having a 99 Yukon then an 02 Tahoe Z71. I used to run a site like this one for Z71 Tahoes, but it fell apart once I got rid of my car. Anyways, I just purchased a 2006 F250 Lariat, although it is just a 2wd (4 would have been nice). I'm down here in Mobile, AL, but I travel to Louisiana almost every weekend to fish (I'm also originally from Baton Rouge). Once I can get some pictures, I'll post them up, but maybe not until I get a few mods done . So far, it has a Rhino liner, gooseneck hitch, and some painted mirror caps, but I plan on adding a bed extender, billet grille, and finding some way to mount my Icey Tek ice chest in place of a tool box (any suggestions would be helpful). Also, if anyone knows of a 2-4" lift for this model, please let me know. I'd like to get her up to FX4 height. Every lift I've come across is for the 4wd, and I'm not quite sure of the suspension differences between the two. Thanks for those chrome mirror part numbers a while back. I ordered some from fordpartsonline.com and they ended up sending me another pair of black ones -mad . Anyways, I ended up just painting those and they look good anyways.

Thanks to both of y'all for the welcome. Question for ya-what kind of tuners do you have? I'm thinking of getting one but the options are endless... thinking about getting an Edge...

no problem, glad it worked out for ya one way or the other.

i run a banks 6-gun, alot of the guys around here have the dp tuner, sct tuner (i think thats what they call it), some of them are custom tuners, another one is t wildman.

some others will chime in i am sure to lend a hand on your question.

Thanks-I figured the Ford was the way to go. I've had enough trouble with GM, and this diesel should last for a long time to come.

Finally got some pictures. You can see the painted mirrors and all from here. I also went stealth with two stickers-a black billfish foundation logo on the window and a silver AFTCO decal on the bumper...gotta keep it low-pro. Anyways, I took these today before I mounted my ice chest behind the tool box, so I'll put some up of those later. I'm proud of my new baby, although she does sit low to the ground
