Ok so I finally got my triple A-pilar gauge pod installed. I installed a trans temp gauge, a boost gauge, and an EGT gauge. Here are my readings.
At cruising speed, 50 MPH, 85 degrees ambient temp:
EGT is 600
Boost is 0
Trans is about 130.
At WOT, 85 degrees ambient temp:
EGT is 1000
Boost is 25
Trans eventually gets up to about 160-170.
What do you think of these numbers and how do they compare to your truck?
I am running a super chips performance tune, 4" turbo back exhaust, no muffler, upgraded intake (with big round air filter 6357 or something like that), Fuel pressure is about 65 on idle and 55 during load, oh and I'm also 2 wheel drive.
I think its weird how the trans takes forever to warm up. I can drive the truck for about a half hour and it doesnt start getting warm until I start beating on it or I am on the freeway.
I also noticed that my turbo is squeeling/screeching ever so slightly at WOT. I don't know if that's just the way it's supposed to sound or if something is wrong with it. It also flutters as it drops pressure between shifts at WOT.
