Good morning everyone. Well I just traded in my 2003 F350 7.3 and got a VERY clean 2013 F350 6.7 with

50000 miles on it still has some warranty plus I bought the extended with it

about a month ago. It is just crazy how thing change over the years I have pulled my 32' bumper pull toy

hauler a couple times and for the first time in a long time wife and I and Kids could have a conversation

without yelling. So with me being behind on the trucks what is there to look for or what to watch out for on these new one's.

Nice truck! I used to haul our 36ft fifth wheel with my 2002 7.3 and it was so loud my wife and kids rode separately.:lmaoNow the 2002 seems like a dinosaur. The 6.7 pulls like there is no camper on back. BIG diference for sure! Enjoy

I've heard the turbos had issues. But I only know of one guy that's had issues. But he's tuned with a DPF delete.

An 11 I think.
Mine is an 11, bought new in 10. I have a love hate relationship with the truck. It started with an exhaust leak at the exhaust filter that would fill the cab each time it cleaned. Took an outside mechanic to clue into the problem after Ford changed out 2 power steering boxes and pumps, thinking they were leaking and emitting a burnt smell.
Then the infamous death wobble, which Ford once again tried to deny existed. Finally took it to a frame and chassis shop who found the castor was out, corrected it an its been good since.
Then we started getting a screech similar to a belt slipping sound. Had the serpentine belt changed along with the tension pulley. Didn't help, then learned that a weak point is the bolts holding the exhaust manifold to the block. Found a leak and broken bolt on the drivers side and stretched / loose bolts on the passenger side. Had everything changed out and corrected.
While having it apart, we inspected the turbo and found the a lot of movement in the shaft. After consulting 3 different mechanics, we decided that because we wanted to keep the truck and with the reputation of the ceramic bearings in the 11 and 12's, we changed the turbo at the same time. At this point in time with 2132KM on it, everything seems fine, except our MP3 player now is acting up. The display is usually dead and may come back if you tap it. Although sometimes tapping it causes it to change channels etc.
Yet for some odd reason, I still like the truck.

I haven't had issues like that. I am dealing with a radio issue. It started with the words randomly disappearing. Now it'll turn itself off when it feels like it. Sometimes it's turn back on, other times it won't. Naturally it didn't act up when it was at the dealer. And they've never heard of it before.
