I am going to put on a new exhaust system in my 2002 F350 7.3 this week. I went with the MBPR stainless from the turbo back. I already have the AIS Intake. I am guessing my rig will run a little better along with the EGT's also a little lower and the turbo will spool up quicker and a little louder?

I have a 2000 F250 7.3 and I'm looking to get rid of my muffler and put in a piece of straight pipe, I was wondering if I NEED to do anything else. Will this make the truck louder? Improved torque? Can anyone give me the pros and cons, thanks.

Not much louder. A friend removed his muffler and it sounds different, but not much louder. More of a throaty sound.

I hear the same things as Dave mentions (throater sound)

I am hoping and guessing my new exhaust will hepl the engine breath better and make the turbo a little more noticeable??

It did on the truck I was listening to. I know the truck so I can tell the difference in the before and after sounds. Nice sound and not annoying at all. I had an 8V92TA in a dump truck, some years ago, and that engine would whistle until the cows came home. I would get a headache by the end of the day.
