Yesterday I got my truck back from the shop, and was having a great time cruising around checking out the new peformance setup (edge w/ attitude, turbo back exhaust, and cold air intake)...until I threw a Check Engine Light.

The truck seems to be running fine, and all the gauges (Edge and factory) are within safe values; I was thinking I might try to reset the CEL and see if it happens again. Does anyone know howo to do this without a special tool?

BTW, it's a 06 PS F250

Thanks

i throw codes to all and they dont effect anything go into edge screen i think third option down check codes go into there and then you can check what codes are being thrown and the second option is clear trouble codes and it will get rid of you engine light

Maybe the Evolution has those features, my Juice/Attitude doesn't...

I disconnected the batteries for awhile and the light is now off, now the question is will it come back on...

Cant you go to Advanced Auto Parts and have your codes read for free? If the light comes back on i would swing by there just to see what the code is.

*EDIT*
How do you like the truck now with the Intake, exhaust and tunner? did you do it all at once?

My CES light has been on and off thru the day for 5 years. I worried about it for a while, now I consider it an indicator that the engine is running...look.....I cant hear the straight pipes and turbo or the injectors....but I can always look to my trusty yellow indicator light to know she is still running....lol. If I put a pressure regulator on the MAP line it would most likely get rid of it, but its not worth 20 bucks and my time. My wife actually gets nervous if she notices its off....she is so used to seeing it on!
