I watched it. I do not understand why they are using big rigs to carry 10k and 22k loads. Seems to me a Super Duty with a gooseneck would be better. Less weight on the ice and no air brakes to cause problems.
Can't imagine the fear you would have when another truck passes going the other way, knowing you are both a making pressure wave under the ice in front of you. Especially at -40 Deg F.
the white out would be enough to scare the piss outta me...been there,
and i wasnt hauling a load over a frozen lake either...but i damm near had
a load in my pants when i did finally pull into the driveway !
