I just got my renewal and figure I'm one of the 1st to fall under the new CA requirement, because I have an April tag. I just read the technician testing instructions and they have a 'visual smoke check' section that I will likely worry about. Just last week I noticed a blast of smoke from the pipe, when I hit the pedal, and it was at night when I saw it.
I was wondering if anybody else, with a stock setup, sees smoke when they punch it. I only have 28+k miles on the dial.
