Whts goin on guys!!! my name is Jerald & am a rookie 2 this forum but I stay in Atlanta Ga. & bought me a 2000 DRW f-350 & luving this TRUCK more than my lady!! LOL. I guess cause I sleep with her more than my wife. This is my first diesel & I haul cars with her, ready 2 do sum mods 2 her & looking 2 meet new friends on the forum as well. Talk 2 u guys soon;tu

Thx joe & no mods so far, but I do want 2 get an nice exhaust & im stock between the php chip or the bully dog programmer????????:dunno

Chip ? Programmer ? Which one, of either ? VERY controversial Question.

The answer boils down to: It's Your Choice, based on what you want & need to do with Your PSD.

[BUT]... EVERYONE on SDD.com would, I'm sure, recommend you get GAUGES installed before you do ANY modifications to your PSD.

Exhaust Gas Temp (EGT), Boost Pressure & Transmission Temp are the 3 main gauges you need.. especially because you've said you Tow cars. Then a more efficient intake, followed by a bigger diameter exhaust system.

Again.. Gauges First...

I would put off getting a programmer until you
1. Get Gauges to monitor EGT, Trans Temp, Boost, ect
2. Get a new intake AFE stage II, or home made.
3. Get a 4 inch turbo back exhaust.
4. Now that your truck can breath better and you can see whats going on you can figure out what programmer to buy. There are lots of programmers out there. Id buy one that can grow with your mods. DP-Tuner, PHP, Tony Wildman are a few who can update tunes when you do upgrades!

Thx oil burner, good info. Wht would be better a 4'' or 5'' inch exhaust???

I don't haul cars so I don't know if 5inch would be better or not. Ive heard that unless you are making 500hp or more you don't need more than 4inch exhaust. There are a few guys here that haul heavy that will chime in.
