Need input quick

Looking at buying an 03 f250 xlt with the 6.0 motor. It will be a salvage, I know some people don't like them but that is all that I have driven ( dad has a body shop) What I am wanting to know is what is your opinion on the motor I know people have had good luck and bad luck with the truck.

The truck has 98000 miles on it and the guy just had it into the dealer to get the injectors replaced. I can get the truck for $10,000

Want your thoughts fast.

I would not be scared of a 6.0. They do have there problems but what doesn't?

my 6.0 has over 134,000 miles on it, no turbo, head gaskets, or catastrophic failure of any kind.

has been a very good truck.

Hey guys thanks so far for your input I don't think I could go wrong. I may soon be on here asking more questions. If I was to get the truck I am going to want to do some fun performance things.

You could get an OASIS report to see if it's had any previous issues that the dealership did any warranty work on before it was totalled to be sure. I got one from thedieselgarage.com for mine and a truck a friend of mine is buying. if there hasn't been any major problems in 98,000 miles, I'd say it's a keeper.

Were I am going to go look at the truck, they have the number of the guy who had the truck before, and he said I could call him.

I just bought a salvage title '03 also with 60k miles on the clicker. I ran an oasis report on mine and no major problems. I went for it. I am picking it up next weekend. I can't wait!!!!!!!

Well I just bought it today so now I am a proud owner of a diesel. Going to be delivered tomorrow, there was a small fire under the driver seat. It had gray cloth. Were I got the truck they have an 05 f250 with complete interior witch is leather and the color is tan so all I have to do is paint the dash to match. Boy I can't wait to start switching things out.

It just burnt the drivers seat and messed up the head liner and the carpet under the drivers seat. Belived to be arson..
