I was just wondering if anyone could give me some good advice on a rebuild of a 99 f-350 crewcab 7.3. My plans are to strip the hole truck down to the frame and re-build everything. However, before I start I want to have a game plan. I’m looking at trying to put an f-650 power trine on to the 7.3 everything I can finds says it should work but I am looking for insight on what to expect as far as performance goes... I know I'm going to be using a Banks cup upgrade to get more horsepower, and hopefully be able to switch from casual driving settings, to towing settings, as-well as roast the rubber off settings... The upgrades to performance such as cup, turbo, camshaft, and injectors are I’m my mind going to punish the rest of the drive traine. Hence my idea of upgrading to the f-650 train... But, like I said I just don’t know what to expect... Any insight is awesome and or any leads on were to go for some good information...
Thank You,

the 650 had the option using a powerstroke, cummins or caterpillar with different trans also, what drive train components are you planning on using?other than stating the obvious of lots of wrench turning, trial and error.... you probally would be better off putting a 550 drivetrain under the truck the S135 rear axle is really strong and if you have 4wd the front axle's knuckles are about 30% larger
