The ccApp error is referring to Norton Antivirus... Not really a problem, but yes, it's annoying.

What version of Norton are you running? Depending on version, there's probably a fix for it.

I am running Norton Internet Security 2006.

I have on more item that needs attention. When I am running Internet explorer and I click on a link that opens another page, I can load and view that page just fine but when I close it, I get a box that says it has encountered an error and needs to close. It closes Internet Explorer out completely and I have to open everything up again.

Is there an easy fix for this?

Download Firefox and be done with IE. Link>> Mozilla | Firefox web browser & Thunderbird email client
I have been running Firefox for years and it is much better than IE. You can import all of your favorites and away you go.

Dave

I tried to download Firefox but as soon as the pop-up with the options for "run" "save" or "cancel" comes up, I get the box that tells me that IE has encountered a problem and needs to close.

I tried it five times and got the same result everytime.

Why wont computer just do what I tell it?:dunno

I have not seen that one, lone_star_dsl. I don't know what to tell you, except try restarting your computer and then downloading FF.

Well I tried restarting everything...didnt work.

How can I remove IE from my computer but still get on the internet?

I think if I can remove IE and download Firefox, all will be good again.

Thanks to everyone for all the help!

BTW, are these results any good?

I think its fixed!!!

I turned off Norton and IE worked fine. I downloaded Firefox and sent IE7 packing.

I just got Norton fixed and the computer is running great!

Thanks for the guidance fellas!
