Need a basic reference

Is there a certain repair guide (Chilton, Bentley, etc) that is particularly good for my truck? 97 F350SD. I have a Bentley for my car and, while it doesn't make me an expert mechanic, it sure does help a lot.

I use the Ford Repair manuals from www.helminc.com and they are not the cheapest. Check it out for your self.

Ive always had good luck with Haynes manuals but honestly for real true answers, these internet forums are about the best.

Ditto--I have a set of those same manuals for my '02 (thanks, PB) and they're worth every penny.

Cool, thanks for the input. Yea no manual replaces experienced information, but there is no need to ask basic stuff I can simply look up in a manual.
