is it responsible for more than the gauge and low fuel light?

on some ..the float arm is the pick up also ,, reason being so your not always sucking fuel from the bottom of the tank ,, but I am not sure on yours? but the two issues are prob related? after it started to run properly did the fuel level start reading correctly??

Update

This morning the gauge was normal. I called the shop to get their take. They suggested getting a fuel pressure gauge and waiting for it to happen again.

the gauge thing has me stumped .. it obviousy is related to the rough running and may be a fuel pick up problem ,, ??
