I've found my 2011 pretty easy to use. I had a Camry with a built in system and I also have an older Garmin that I used to use with my Expedition. The F350 system is by far the easiest of the three, at least for me. I'm no rocket scientist but I'm having good luck and have yet to open the manual. Maybe they changed it for 2012? If they did and that's a source of confusion I imagine that would be a do-able retrofit, no doubt an expensive one.

the one in my 2010 150 was daunting at first

but after a few weeks it became second nature

if you have sync....i would suggest learning the basics first then use sync later to help you find your way

go sit in the driveway with the gps on and play with the system, change settings.
i change the language every now again to mess with the other driver :lmao

i have also found if you run the map in the 2.5 or less scale for the map it seems to do better when going to unfamiliar places
