i was looking at some pics of the 08 superduty today and i realized it had a navigation system. the nav system seems to be the sam redio setup in my 06 and i was wondering if you guys think it would be possible to get that radio in my truck when they release them.

HUH ?? the aftermarket (kenwood/pioneer) nav systems dont leave
any "holes"...theyre pretty much direct fit/replacement.

Its a big square hole, that gets FILLED.

w/ the aftermarket stuff your "in dash" nav. system can play
dvd's, integrate to your bluetooth phone, connect&control (digitally)
to your ipod/mp3 player, you can also add a back up camera and
get MUCH better AUDIO...and usually aftermarket stuff is better
quality (sound & video) AND CHEAPER !

yeah but if you buy oem it gets vin locked ( do aftermarkets have this same feature, just curious) and i just think it flows better and iv had some bad experiences with aftermarket head units. i just think it would be easier if they dont have to many differences in the wiring.

someone is lying to you about VIN locking...
unless ford just started doing it w/ the nav radio
they have NEVER done it before on any of their
radios.

aftermarket radios (not many but some) have
security code stuff too...personally im more concerned
about them getting IN the truck...most thieves dont
know squat about what theyre stealing (factory
radios wont even get you a 20 dollar crack rock).

if they dont get in the truck (can you say proper
alarm) they wont get the radio !

go to ebay and search "ford radio"....see how many
you find...

typically ive got more valuable stuff in my truck than
the radio...laptops, gps, amps (bolted down), round here
they take the TRUCK 1st !
