Oh yeah it all goes back to my favorite enemy. Left wing and EPA. If it were'nt for them we'd still be driving rwd v8's and the cars would be real. All that work and we're still warming the globe. Everytime there is a crazy storm, it's global warming, global warming....... Never hear a peep when folks are snowed in for a week. can't wait for the earths next normal cold cycle.............Maybe they will shut up and leave my tailpipe alone.

one more thing about the cot is they are not running it in the busch series. so there's no reason for the busch wackers anymore. this will give young drivers a better chance of gettin a ride in the busch series. when you have 30 plus busch wackers in the races and those guys finishin the top 30 positions it doesnt allow the small busch teams to earn any money so they can make their cars better. me i'm personally against the busch wackers runnin in the busch series just to practice for sunday's race.

The COT is supposed to be bigger on the inside and actually look more like the "actual street version" car. Yes the Charger is U G L Y and the Avenger looks much better. The current cars are a pain to get into and out of (if you're not used to it). One of the companies in the group that I work for was a parttime sponsor for a Roush car last year. They brought a "show" car for us to see, and lots of us got to climb into it. They had part of the "headrest" cut off so we "regular drivers" could get into it. I just wish I could have driven it around the parking lot. One thing's for sure, it was definitely LOUD when it was started up. I've been a Mark Martin fan for years, even though he's driving a Chevy now, he's still good (actually better this year). I'll be glad to see what the COT will do at Talledega and maybe they can run it without restrictor plates. Time will tell.

What's great about this forum, is you have so many opinions.
Open wheel racing, IRL, Champ car, midgets, all have fan following to some degree, but I think Nascar is "was" popular is because fans could relate to the cars. Not many of us have a midget in the garage. The further Nascar gets away from a "stock" appearing car, the less fans will identify with Nascar.
I think if Nascar continues in this way, you will see more and more empty seats.
They will always have some following, just as open wheel racing, or midgets do, but I think they will loose a vast amount of fans with this trend.
Thats my opinion anyway. :D
