My wife left me

My wife left me... and I just don't understand.

After our last child was born, she told me we had to cut
back on expenses, so I had to give up drinking beer. I
wasn't even a big drinker - maybe a 12-pack on a long
weekend.

Anyway, I gave it up. But then I noticed the other day
when she came home from grocery shopping, that the receipt
included $45 for cosmetics.

I said, "Wait a minute! I had to give up beer and you
haven't given up anything!"

She said, "But I buy that makeup for you - so when you see
me I look attractive."

And I told her, "Hell, that's what the beer was for!"

I don't think she'll be back
