Bio diesel has a lot of potential. As demand rises, new sources will be found. It may lead to farmers switching to soybean crops, and higher prices may help them break free from fed farm policies.

Remember that when you guys are equating the costs, you have to compensate for the increased mileage of Biodiesel. Its nice to know that we can each play our own small role in reducing dependence on foreign energy, without serious comprimise to our lifestyle.

have you been able to calculate an actual increase in mileage? If so, at what blend? I havent done any calculations myself.

I'm not 100% sure since I didn't top off last Saturday but from the way the needle is going down I've lost mileage. But that's on B100. I'm still happy with my choice and since I'll be one of those farmers growing beans to squeeze I win either way!:D Our 855 Cummins and 3406 CAT irrigation engines will be converted back to diesel to run on Bio too!

My needle drops a bit faster on B-100 too but I haven't done an accurate test yet. It very well may be due to my filter getting clogged. I'm still battling very dirty tanks that are getting cleaned by the day. Once I'm sure the tanks are clean and I have a new filter I'll do an accurate mileage test.

I got it in San Jose on south 10th st, Western States petrolum and I paid $3.19 per gallon. I don't eat at McDonalds or any other burger joint. My cholesteral won't allow me that choice, so i burn it instead.

Dave

Was that a recent price? (or did you smile purty at them?:D )
They quoted me $3.60 last week:(
