The trucks been running just a hair rough lately and I hadnt been able to pin it down. The idle rpms were fluctuating by several hundred RPMs at 0 throttle, from a cruising position to no throttle it would want to drop down under 500 RPM and sound like it was laboring to idle...... she was just not happy. Well, on the way to work yesterday it finally set the CEL coming down off cruise to idle. When I got home I had the dreaded:eek: P0344 code. But from what I understand I am very lucky to have gotten that and not have been changing the CPS on the side of the road in the dark.:thanks

So, it was my turn I guess. Ive had her for nearly 3 years and over 60,000 miles now and this is the first time I had to change the CPS, not sure how long the other one was in there?:dunno

Cheap CPS

I bought a cps froma guy I think crabmstr, on ebay. $62 shipped 2 day air. It's a ford factory part in the plastic and I would highly recommend him.

Mine started going bad at 133k so I put on the spare on.Its easier to change at home than on the roadside. The truck would shut off at 60 mph for a split second. That happened 4 times in three weeks.I finaly got the hint.
