My rant: Ford vs GM

I'm not brand loyal at all. I've owned several

84 dodge ram D-150 (318) Prospector RCLB
92 Ford F-250 RCLB (351)
92 GMC Sierra Z71 (350) RCSB
02 Chevy Silverado (5.3L) ECLB
04.5 Dodge Ram 2500 (5.9L cummins) QCSB
03 Ram 1500 (4.8L joke) QCSB
06 Nissan Altima (2.5L) Thing got 28 mpg
05 Nissan Titan CCSB - my current truck


I buy what is in my reasonable price range and fits my needs. Although my next truck will be another diesel.

If 4wd will either be dodge or ford for the SFA. If 2wd will be ford or chevy since there is no market outside of engine mods for a 2wd dodge as I learned with my 04.5 lol...

I've grew up with Ford so thats all I've owned and the rest of my fam. I'd buy a Dodge diesel if I had to. Love the motor just not the truck. GM would be last on my list after a yugo haha. Well maybe not that far then haha.

I agree the duramax's are hot rods BUT in my eyes a truck should also have other good qualities and that IFS is junk. I dont want a go fast hot rod that rides like a Lincoln. Its got to pull loads, last forever. Granted my 7.3 aint a hot rod stock. I could probably hold my own if I put tons more money in it but might sacrifice some reliability. A 6.0 vs a duramax is a more fair comparison in the terms of speed. I dont know much about the 6.0s but have read they will out pull a duramax?

Amen! I never get tired of seeing the transformations the superduty's have gone through over the yrs. I really like the new ones!
