Your fuel bowl could have a pin hole on the bottom from the inside. When you get your new filter, drain the fuel bowl discard the old filter. Take out the plastic stand pipe with a 7/8 inch crow's foot wrench(threads are left handed turn clockwise to loosen).Unplug your fuel heater element from the inside take it out and inspect(they are noted to go bad often and blow the #22 fuse).Use some cotton swabs to clean the screen between fuel bowl and FPR from inside.Clean the bottom of your fuel bowl and look for any pitted spots on the bottom. If there is a hole you can repair it with a product called J-B Weld,it is epoxy that can have contact with fuel.If you can"t find the right epoxy send your address I can mail you some.Reinstall fuel heater, standpipe, filter and lid.
The fuel pump is only a mechanical pump that runs off the cam I don't think there are any sensors on the pump.
No check engine light with a bad CPS.
