Don't ya love that feeling? Im surprised you could get that close to the fence. At MIS they have a bunch of rows shut down by the fence.

Great to hear you had a good time. I really think I would have been a slap to the face for Roush if Martin won. I think he was yelling at Kenseth to push Harvick past. Roush has never won the 500 as an owner so he would have been pissed if his ex driver won with out him. Just my 2 cents.

If Mark had won, it would have served him right (Roush that is). Mark wanted a parttime deal this year, and Roush claimed he couldn't give it to him, so Mark went with someone who gave him a deal he wanted (even if it did involve driving a Chevy). Mark also has stated that Roush didn't prepare his cars aggressive enough for Daytona, and Ginn did. Looks like it almost paid off. As I noted before, I don't really like Harvick, but he did pull a "Dale Earnhardt, Sr. move" by slipping past Mark to win it. Plus he was in Dale's old ride since the 3 became the 29.

Home Again

The adventure has come to an end. Due to dense fog in Detroit, both my flights were delayed. I was concerned I'd miss my conection in Detroit and be stuck there. I called the airline and told them if they were going to leave me stranded for the night, I'd rather do so and stay put in Nashville. I could have just called my son to come get me. But as it turned out, my 2nd flight was delayed also, allowing me enough time to get some supper. I shared a table and dinner chat with an Army soldier on his way home for 4 days before he headed for Afganistan.

But I made it back to Marquette about 1 1/2 hours late. I found my cherished F-250 waiting for me in the parking lot right where my wife & daughter had left it for me when I started experincing the flight delays. I got home and found my buddy waiting for me at the door, tail wagging so hard and fast I thought it would come off.

I'm glad I'm home, but I'll remember this trip with my boy as long as I live.
