so i found a MBRP muffler delete pipe on amazon for $37. i removed my my exhaust from the muffler back to get some idea of what it would sound like and like it alot. the noise level is about the same at idle and cruising speed. but much louder when you set it to the floor. i can hear the turbo alot more at low rpm's and even a little at idle. almost sounds like a 6.0 now! anyway, my question is should i keep my MBRP muffler or sell it? say i get stationed in california or some place with stricter emmision standards, would my muffler allow me to pass? i really doubt it since its a pass through type muffler. am i correct on this?:dunno

I still have my magnaflow muffler its never been on the truck, i took it out of the box and put it in the rafters in the barn. Im keeping it because i may need it someday when i get old and dont like my truck loud anymore i can put it on and its already paid for. Just keep it if you have the room to store it

I'm think'n if your truck isn't Licensed in California.. You wouldn't have to get it Smog-ed IAW Cali crap.

I know when I was on Active duty here.. My stuff was licensed in Oregon.. I didn't have to worry about any of the CARB crap.

When you are on Active Duty.. stationed OUTSIDE of your Home State.. you can get around allot of stuff..

I sure hated giving up those Oregon plates (2 year, $20 tags,, no crapola). But now, according to my Bro... The Oregon DEQ is worse than Cali on allot of stuff.. across the "Green" board.

It's Hell being a 'ol guy.. these dayz :lmao:lmao

Do you remember Pismo without restrictions in the dunes? I used to Jeep there in the '70s and '80s. I went back years later and they had closed a lot of the dunes. :( :(
