I'm thinking about putting a muffler delete pipe on my stock exhaust and pitching the muffler. Does anyone know if I can still pass NC state inspection without a muffler. I would hate to do this then not pass an inspection.

Unless they do noise measurements,
it's not like it will change the emissions any :) so go fer it...

if done right, you should be able to go back and forth...

the factory muffler is a big source of restriction. but it will be awfully raspy .
my 02 it actaully turned blue at teh inlet
on the tow boss its was just plain HEAVY and it had already turned colers at the inlet and the casing was discolored .
teh mbrp was a pain going on but its nice and low rumble and free flow makes ita ll better now. and I kept the kitty/particle trap thingy

How bad will the noise be with out the muffler, louder than a 7.3 without the muf?
