i know most of yall dont like extended warranties but i was talking to a memember here and i decided to post up this link
its not just about warranties, there is a wealth of info there to help us take care of our beloved psd's

REMEMBER that most extended warranties (even fords own) begin
the day the truck 1st went into service...so if your the 2nd or 3rd owner
you may not be getting all that you THINK youre paying for.

6yrs, 100,000k miles (extended) means 6yrs from the day the 1st OWNER
purchased the truck from ford.

when you consider the truck comes w/ a 3/36k warrenty (imo) this
means at best your only getting 3 more years and 64k more miles
coverage.

read the fine print...even the EXTENDED warrenty may have a
deductible, and consider hwo much this is REALLY
costing (or saving) you...since the truck has a 5/100k mile engine
warrenty (w/ 100 dollar deductible).

the diesel warrenty isnt cheap...3k+ (since all the "failures" were
so widely & wildly reported...insurance companies figure its
HIGHLY likely that theyll have to pay for something to be repaired)...

3k goes a long way toward a new tranny etc...
