Never heard of/seen it done on a SD, but my wife's '02 Explorer Sport has rear air in the console. Might be easier to use Ford/Ford parts than Ford/Chevy?? Just another place for you to look. :sweet

Be sure to post some pics if you start this project! -popcorn

The excursions have rear air, but it comes from the roof. This could be an interesting Mod. We need to get Bama on it.

i thought the excursion came with vents in the consoles on like the 05's but you'd have to do some ducting. Just do it the redneck way with dryer ducting and duct tape to the dash. Kids in the backseat can swap the hose back and forth.

Since I first read this thread, the squirrels have been working
overtime in my head on how you could do it.

I think the trick will be to make it look like it has always been that way.

I wouldn't want a big hump in the floor and people asking, "what's that hump in the floor?"

Will, no no no no no no! All the heat from underneath would defeat the purpose of A/C to the rear.

I am thinking that............................oh, wait a minute. If I come up with a way to do this, I need to keep it a secret and patent it...........yep, that's it, gonna get to work on it for my truck, make a kit, sell it, and get rich. :)

If you look next door at Oilburners.net a member there (RLDSL I think) has added a rear heat/ac unit from a custom van in the back of his CC. He says you could hang meat in there now.

As for the Excursion, the heat and AC vents are in the roof, the unit that runs them is in the right rear by the back doors, directly opposit the spare tire, it is contained inside the trimwork behind/above the rear "tire hump". This is why in the summer, there is a constant drip that appears to come from the exhaust, the drain is directly above the tailpipe, it actually drips on top of the pipe.
