Mercon SP (where to buy) ?

I thought id heard someone say that O'Reilly was carrying
Mercon SP (for the torqshift)...I stopped by one in tomball this
evening and the guy looked at me like i was nutz.

I know i can get it at the dealer (but Im hopeful i could save
some cash)

There are a few parts stores in Jersey that carry this fluid at $3.40 a quart. Thats less than 1/2 what Ford dealer wants for it. My favorite is fuel filters...they put a Fram sticker on a Motorcraft box and sell the pair for $39.00 Thats also less than 1/2 what the dealer wants.

i get mine from a line auto parts. They carry alot of ford dealer parts. i just got 20 quarts of motorcraft for 3.80 a quart. Not sure if they are in tomball but i know they are all over austin. I got mine from round rock store cause they've been givin me discounts for years.

wooo HOOOO ! now THIS is why SDD.com forum ROCKS...i just called
the guys at a line auto parts...they had the Mercon SP...3.80 per qt !

Thanks 1.39 per quart LESS than the dealer wants...and when you figure
you need 18-20qt for a COMPLETE flush this FORUM just saved me 27.80 !

Yep bush going to my buddies shop saturday and usin his flusher and gonna flush it all out. A line also carries the toilet paper filter for the tranny dont remember how much that was all i know is i spent 240 bucks on tranny fluid and lights with relays.
