Thats what I thought. Of course you always hear of a diesel bein put in an existing model but it never happens.

Ford should have a diesel option in every car through out its line up, I'm sure that with a small modern diesel the Escape and Edge wouldn't have a problem surpassing 30mpg hwy. On MB World a lot of ML owners are reporting that they routinely get 30 mpg + in those trucks (V6 3.0L TD 210hp 4XX tq). In the past 45 years of my travels 'round this World.. Diesel powered vehicles, of All shapes & sizes, have been, and continue to be.. Everywhere. Even Vespa/Moped types.

That would be awesome for Fords sake. If GM does do it and has some success, maybe Ford will do it too. Europe has done it for yrs and everyone knows how well diesels do over there. EPA just sucks! I'd own a small diesel over a gas vehicle. A small diesel truck is def overdue. Look at Austrailia. They got some sweet diesel trucks over there. Doesnt Brazil or Austrailia have a diesel Ranger??
