Just installed my new Magnaflow 4" turbo to duals. Sounds sweet. Really throaty bark when you hammer on it. Next I want an intake and some new wheels. Q: Has anyone noticed a fuel mileage increase with a new exhaust system? I keep using the excuse that all these mods will increase fuel mileage, although my wife is not buying it anymore. She said, $600.00 for Bully Dog, $800.00 for exhaust....$1400.00 how much driving do you have to do to save $1400.00 in fuel? I need a new excuse now for the intake. The power excuse not working either. LMAO.

hah fuel savings <my arse> ! if anything the mbrp turbo back / cat delete
is KILLING my mpg (only cause my foots in it all the time ;)

i wouldnt do an after market filter...the factory filter has been proven
to flow...in fact its never been proven to be RESTRICTIVE in anyway...
the risk is anything that flows better will allow DIRT to pass thru too...
the gain isnt worth the risk.

Thanks. I will keep that in mind. But why do so many people install them?
And, yeah I hear ya about the foot into the throttle. I have the same problem, I am hoping it wears off.

BTW, has anyone had any warranty issues withe the cat removed? I was thinking of hacking off both ends of the cat and knocking the guts out and putting a 4" straight through to give the illusion of a cat.

Ive not had a warrenty issue...i just simply removed the cat delete
pipe and re-installed the CAT (no cutting w/ the MBRP system...just
two bolts and a clamp...removal & re-install took me less than 20 min.)

when i had the issue (unrelated to exhaust / cat) i was in virginia & my
cat was in TEXAS...i borrowed Ron's Cat & loaned him my mbrp test
pipe...then he wouldnt give me the test pipe back (he liked it so much)...
so he bought me another test pipe and drop shipped it to my house :D

If yer magna flow left the cat in you should be able to just get an MBRP test pipe. Just unbolt the cat on the front end and hook it to yer magna exhaust with the clamp. Which reminds me i need to order my MBRP muffler delete.

grab a sawzaw and cut her off.....if she needs replacing weld her back in...im sure you can find a friend or someone who is handy with a welder...if not i don't know what to say:sorry ....my dad is very good with a welder and it comes in handy in cases like that...ill try to post pictures of his y pipe on my duals....no money and looks pretty good considering he was workin with the extra pipe off the original install...i have magnaflow duals and all together (no cat of muffler) 550 bucks...not to shabby.....i think the mbrp cat delete will probably work with you application:thumbs

I have picked up 2 1/2 mpg with the stacks I put on. Sounds like your wife needs to get into the black smoke like my wife. She like when I stand on the throttle and to see alittle black smoke. Ready for programmer now to get more. Keep tryin with the mods.

With the EGR unplugged there is no smoke. Plug it in and set the bully dog on Crazy Larry and she smokes like she is on fire. As for the cat delete pipe, I think I will do as I was saying and weld in my old cat(gutted of course).
