well ive heard alot of guys saying that these chips and tuners have screwed there ecm's up and just screw there whole electronic system up,that is scaring me away from them,any advice on which ones are the simplest,offer the best tq gains,and that wont fry my computers,steer me to the right direction,names of companies will help,thanks

From my experience if you install it correctly you wont screw up your ECM. Ive got a chip from TW and I love it

Tony Wildman Chips are the best for 97's, mine rocks!
When I'm pulling my 14k trailer, (fully loaded) I have to shut my OD off or the EGT's will get too hot. On the flats I cruise it in OD, unless I'm smokin somebody (heehee)
