Lufthansa landing at Hamburg Germany

This thread is WAY off the beaten path, but I knew you all would be as amazed as I was when I saw this.

This is a Lufthansa aircraft that encountered extreme crosswinds while trying to land at Hamburg Germany. The crosswind was so bad that the pilot was almost flying sideways! He kicked the tail around just as he was going to touch down. Then a hard gust caused a wing to touch the runway as he throttled up and aborted the landing attempt.

That's some crazy flying there Ken! I saw a clip of that on the news but didn't know where or any other info.

Those pilots get a high 5 from me for sure!

Reminds me when I fly into SMF (Sacramento International) on stormy days when the winds are blowing straight in from the west across the approach runway but then again flying into Phoenix on the Sky Harbor rollercoaster during the summer is even more challenging
