Does anyone know if a lsd out of an 07 f250 will fit an 04 f250. I need a new rear diff and don't really want to spend 600+ on an aftermarket one. any help on this matter would be great!

"Should" be okay, get an oasis on your truck and see what you have, 10.5 or 10.25. either way you should be okay. But I'll tell you this much.. if you're paying to have one put in, I wouldn't waste 10 cents on the factory LS rear. it's Junk, always has been, always will be. Spend the money on a detroit tru-trak and be done with it. Unless you're planing on dumping it soon, then just put an open one in it.

If that be the case, as long as they're the same size carriers, yeah you should be fine. The brakes changed, but that doens't effect anything on the inside. You will have to swap gear sets though, your 04 pinion will not play well with the 07 ring gear... you'll have more noise than you know what to do with.

If you can set your own gears, my hat's off too you. It takes time patience and a dial indicator, neither of which I have! Good luck.
