New to the forum, need help already. Just installed new Luk clutch upgrade and rebuilt 5 speed in my 1997 F350 2wd,dually. Have to push through the firewall to engage safety start switch. Bushing at clutch rod seems okay with just a slight right to left movement. Need some ideas on what to try next. Almost forgot, 200k. Thanks.

Look at your clutch pedal assy. There are plasitc bushings in there that go away in time. My '93 did the samething and I replaced them and it helped a lot. Also look at the linkage between the pedal and the clutch arm. That one can ware loose and may need replacing. You can get the pedal assy out if you are careful and dedicated. Good Luck.

I used the "drill stop" (aka shaft collar) method described in Keith's article and my bushing has been good for at least 100k miles. This was after it wore a brand new one out in two weeks after replacing the master cylinder/line/slave setup! In addition the the modified bushing and shaft collar, I also used a bit of grease on the pivot/bushing. Cheers!

now I don't have a clutch.
If you would like you can install mine since you don't have your own clutch. I ordered a rod end off of ebay a long time ago and still have not installed it. My clutch still works fine so I figure why mess with it until I have to but if you wanted to install it I would let you ;)
