would I be able to see a crack by removing the inspection cover? I don't see any cracks and from the tiny marks from the flywheel to the TC they have not moved independently. could it be inside the TC? I just had this tranny rebuilt 2 years ago... shop whet out of business so no warranty for me.

Pull the cover and try prying the flywheel away from the engine. You may be able to get a light and mirror in there.

Also getting lots of blowby now. white smoke coming from dipstick. if I remove fill cap and place it upside down it does not blow off but there is a good amount of smoke. there has always been some but this is about 10x's the amount.

completely removed my exhaust to weed out possibility of that being the sound.... but its still there.

ill be prying on the flywheel tonight.
