We got a phone call yesterday from an old friend going back to Mrs TG's high school days.

A mutual friend and his wife were high school sweethearts, both also going to high school with my wife. Apparently they had an argument Tuesday evening, at which time, she decided she was going to bed in a different room. A while later, she heard a gun shot from the bedroom he was in.

This was so unforseen. By all indications, he was fine. He owned a concrete business that did basements, driveways, garage floors & such. It appeared the business was doing great. He drove a F-350 Superduty crewcab with a 7.3.

He was healthy, dieting & recently loosing about 30 lbs. And from what we could all tell, he & is wife loved each other very much. They got married while still in high school, over 30 years ago, far outlasting the odds everybody was giving them for marrying at such a young age.

We are going to try and attend the funeral on Sunday in Wisconsin.:(

He left behind a wife, two grown/married sons and few grandkids and a thriving, profitable business. It makes no sense what so ever.

I'm with ya Kent,my prayers to the family:pray

Just about everyday I recall two close friends I lost in April 2005(2 weeks apart) one from a Motor Vehicle accident and the other in his sleep.

Mrs TG & I are going down for the funeral which is going to be Sunday evening. Visitation is prior to that. I found a picture of the group of us, the last time we were all together. The lesson I learned is this: treat every day spent with your friends, like it will be the last. It might very well be.:(

The friend we lost is the guy in the white hat, he has his hand on his wife's shoulder. The guy that called us and told us of our friends passing is behind me, his wife on my left. Mrs TG is on my right.

So sad and so selfish to take your own life, all of the hurt and unanswered questions you leave behind to a family and friends that care so much for you. Kent, you & Mrs TG and his family will be in our prayers.
