I have heard of this and experienced it on my truck maybe3-4 times over 130,000 miles but it always cleared. I believe this is one of the many symptoms related to faulty Cam positon sensor that is so common on these trucks. Never had mine done because it runs good. I did recieve a factory recall notice and am debating wether or not to have it changed. If it aint broke , don't fix it. You Know.

I had changed my cps thinking that it might have been that. It didn't fix it. Thats when my mechanic found that sensor on the transmission that was messing up.

Mine is doing this too. Where is the sensor located on the transmission? I will have to check this out and see if I can find it.

I will have to call my mechanic and find out what the sensor is called. It will probably be mdi week before I can post what he says.

I sure would appreciate it. I have time anyway. I am now in the process of draining my hpop so I can replace the oil in it and check my injector o-rings for damage.
