Just picked up my '08 F350 long bed DRW and I'd like to install a hydraulic dump kit to make those runs to the refuse center quick and painless. Anyone have any recommendations? I've found a couple on the Internet with 2 ton lift ratings, but I think they make the factory hitch unusable. I'm fine with a little welding but still need the hitch accessible.
FJM Truck & Trailer in San Jose told me that there aren't many of these kits being made anymore because the lift capacity wasn't great enough. I'm fine with a 2 ton lift capacity as long as I can still use the full factory rated payload when not dumping.
I've also heard that the bed tends to rattle around on the freeway once converted. Anyone have one of these kits on their truck?
