Okay--Zoodad is complete. Here's a pic of my truck and some pics of what I did. Sprayed a primer on first, then used a black marine paint but let the screws stay silver since this is Bama's design........:D It was very easy to do and took about 45 min. Haven't had a chance yet to drive the truck but I'll be doing that today in all the rain. Thanks Bama.....

where did u get the parts to do the mod.? looks cool. if u trade metal mesh screen to a plastic screen, the air slides thru the teflon screen wire that u can pick-up at ur local walmart, plus the teflon wire has smaller holes to keep more bugs out.:sly what do u think? good luck with everything. do u know how to do the fpr mod. and where can u get the parts. thanks abunch ahead of time. best darn forum i've seen in a long time.:)

Got the 2 rainspout scoops at Loew's....cost me just about $4 (includg tax) for 2. Already had the hardware cloth which is 1/4" holes--haven't had any bug problem yet. Already had the black paint and used a dremel with a carbide bit to cut out the hole for the scoop. Went together pretty quick and it definitely makes a difference. If you do a search the directions on how to make the Zoodad are on here--Tiki Wiki I think. Well worth the time and money.........:sweet

I've had about 10 people ask me about the Zoodad mod Bama--suprisingly they'd never heard about it before. I don't think the majority believed me when I said it definitely helps but when they realized that the hole is right in front of the air intake they decided it made sense.

The Zoodad now coupled with my "new" MBRP SS Exhaust System has totally changed the way my truck runs. I just got the exhaust system on and driving in traffic yesterday I was getting 18 mpg......NEVER had that before in traffic with stop and go's. Can't wait to do some OTR driving now. Acceleration is really quick, I can hear that turbo spooling up and it's just amazing to me how well these trucks work when they can really breathe!!!!! I am loving this!!!!!:clap::clap::clap::clap:
