Whiskeytown Lake is very nice. I like going up there every once in a while, when I am in the area.

I feel your pain. Been there done that, except with a wrist when the kids were little. Was playing on some ice in the street and slipped down. I made the mistake of using my hands for "landing gear" and fractured my left wrist. Worst part is, I'm left handed. I had a Mazda B2000 Extended Cab 5 speed back then and a Chevy Celebrity. I had to drive the Chevy for awhile until the wrist healed and I could handle the shifter again. Guess you'll be in a cast for awhile then the big boot until you're well.
